Even though this is ment for 8 to 12 year olds im 16 and i love it. It has everything from ogres and gingerbread houses to an evil pied piper after a flute with only three girls able to stop him. This book is full of excitment, just as good if not better than Harry Potter.

By Mrs. K. A. Wheatley TOP 500 REVIEWERVINE VOICE on 9 Jun 2012
Format: Paperback
This is a wonderfully original take on the traditional fairy tale. In fact it is an original take on lots of fairy tales, all skilfully woven together with a very modern twist into a fantastic, fast paced and gripping adventure story. Three sisters are left at the mercy of the forces of evil when their mother dies, leaving them a legacy of a seemingly innocuous whistle, which turns out to be able to control pretty much everything. The girls' father is a feckless explorer, more intent on finding the legendary honey dragon than looking after his children, and when he deserts them too they must fall back on their own skills and cunning to survive. The girls, Storm, Aurora and Any are feisty heroines who are not afraid to fight for their survival as long as they are together, and they find help in the most extraordinary places. The evil villain Dr. De Wilde rallies his pack of wolves around him and strikes terror into the heart of all who meet him, but the girls are made of stern stuff, and the denouement to the adventure is tremendously exciting. The whole book is utterly enchanting in the best way, and the sequel: 'Out of the Woods', is just as good.
