Released in 1988 by Rhythm King. A truly groundbreaking record. One of the singles from the album, Beat Dis, was produced for only 150 pounds, unheard of these days. My favourite tracks are Beat Dis, Don't Make Me Wait and Megablast. Megablast is based on the theme tune of the film 'Assault on Precinct 13'. Tim Simeon the man behind Bomb The Bass has gone on to produce more albums. I think this one is my far the most exciting. This album reflects the music scene from the late eighties.

This album sums up the tail end of the 80's when it came down to dance music, even though beat dis is still played out today. Yes this is the one that starts off with the quote "The names have been changed to protect the innocent". When Dragon first came out i remember me and my mates endlessly breaking to it!! The album works like a travel through inner city london with its crackly radio skits between tracks (Check cameos by Jazzie b, Tim Westwood and S-express) def tracks are Dont make me wait, megablast and beat dis remix. get hype to this album!!

I've alwyas liked Hip-Hop/ Rap, the older type not the more recent incarnation. This album is a good trip down memory lane for all the right reasons.

Bought it when it first came out (on vinyl). But I lost it quite some years ago. Great to have it back. Good memories, great times, excellent and groundbreaking music.

Bomb The Bass - Into The Dragon 24 Oct. 2002
By Alex Germagenov - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This 1988 album is definitively worth buying at least because of the original "Beat Dis" US 7 Inch Mix since you'll hardly ever find it on any other Bomb The Bass album or compilation. Note, that the 2000 "Beat Dis" compilation contains the 12 Inch Mix of this track. Besides, the album also contains other original versions of such hits as "Don't Make Me Wait" and "Megablast", especially "Megablast Hip Hop On Precinct 13". I highly recommend this album to all hip-hop and dance-pop fans.

Beat Dat!! 3 Nov. 2005
By Encise - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
Legend has it that DJ/Producer Tim Simenon produced "Beat Dis" for $500. The track hit number one in the UK and was one of the first true smashes of the burgeoning UK club and house scene, fusing samples with dance melodies, hip hop beats and scratching. Alongside the likes of Coldcut, Soul II Soul, Krush, LA Mix and Rhythm King label-mates "S Express", Bomb The Bass enjoyed huge commercial success during 1988-1989 when Britain's acid house "Summer of Love" was in full swing. Into The Dragon spawned the hits "Don't Make Me Wait", "Say a Little Prayer" and "Megablast" (the instrumental version of which, was used as the soundtrack to a popular computer game). Bomb The Bass videos were laced with skateboard action, Fila clothing, Public Enemy t-shirts and turntables.
Further Bomb The Bass releases were -to use a critics quote- more "mature" - with more focus on melody in place of samples and scratching. Into The Dragon is a time capsule that truly represents what was happening in the summer of 1988 in the UK and its production and spirit withstand the test of time. Highly recommended.
