More About the Author

Nicholas James studied painting with Frank Auerbach at the Slade School of Art, UCL, and History of Art (MA) at Kingston University 1995. He since worked as a writer, editor and publisher.
His titles include 'Artists Stories' with Anna Douglas (a-n publ.1996), Albion Journal, Interviews-Artists and Curators & Collections (Cv/VAR Editions). He is a leading art journalist, with recent interviews and reviews including Yinka Shonibare, Marc Quinn, Matthew Barney, Jim Dine and others. (artslant.com)
He has published studies of Francis Bacon, Salvador Dali, Andy Warhol and Damien Hirst. The editor of Cv Publications, London, he formed Cv/Visual Arts Research in 1995 and the imprint Cv/VAR Editions in 2009.

Nicholas Philip James studied painting with Frank Auerbach and Keith Vaughan at the Slade School of Art. and History of Art (MA) at Kingston University With Sarah Batiste he edited and published Cv Journal of Art & Crafts 1988-92, forming Cv Publications in 1992 and Cv/Visual Arts Research in 1995.
