The Format seem to be able to blend electric and acoustic guitar and a very strong driving percussion to produce a very catchy and very thoughtful record. I had the second CD 'Dog Problems' sent to me by an American pal and you can see where the bands roots come from on the debut CD, very catchy songs, well produced and which seem to show something more to you on each listen. Seriously recommended

this album starts of stong with the first single, and consistantly keeps you listening throughout, acoustic guitars with the lead singers unique voice makes for excelent songs, this band has quickly become one of my favorite bands since i first heard there music. one of those rare albums where everysong is likeable. this band is similar to brand new in it uses a mix of acoustic and electric guitars and has its share of soft songs and heavier ones. this band comes highly recomended by me!
