`For thriller fans, Robin Cook hardly needs an introduction...Cook never lets the tension ebb for a moment, and there's a twist in his suggestion that faith healing may just have something to offer conventional medicine.'

I was expecting another gripping tale from the author, but was totally bored by this uninspired, plodding and very repetitious story, or stories, as 2 interweaving plotlines alternate. Aside from the questionable grammar of some sentences, the constant over-explaining of characters' motivations to do or say what they do & say is tiresome, and the idea of investigating alternative medecines that starts the book off slides off into oblivion. The end is totally predictable.

Was not that impressed with this story. Usually I am gripped but this was way too much religion for me

I must say Intervention is not vintage Cook, two plots running simultaneously neither very exciting. Only close to the end is there a little excitement that was very predictable. Most of the book is quite boring, well written of course but nothing much happens..Bland
