Product Description

Amazon.co.uk Review

"The box in Galen's hands pulsed with light... 'The Word...' He sought for it, hands gripped tight, until suddenly his eyes cleared in shock. 'The Word is ... Interrex.'" In the continuing battle between the Makers and The Watch, Galen the Keeper, tapping into the Crow, (the Order's legendary powerhouse) is charged with an irresistible energy. So when the Makers send him the Word he is bound to follow, and take young Raffi with him. Apocalypse and revolution hover on the horizon as they battle onwards. But Carys has to fight back too, not just for her life, but for the identity taken from her and re-moulded by the Watch, all those years ago.

Interrex is the second title in The Book of the Crow sequence by leading fantasy writer Catherine Fisher, who is also author of The Snow-Walker Sequence, The Conjuror's Game, Fintan's Tower, The Candle Man and Belin's Hill.

A spell-binding read for lovers of fantasy aged between 9 and 13. --Tamsin Palmer

Product Description

Having tapped into the Crow, Galen is charged with a force beyond anything he, or his apprentice Raffi, has ever known. So when he receives a message from the makers urging him to find the Interrex - a child of the Emperor - Galen knows that the keepers are tantalisingly close to revolution.

When I read the first in this trilogy, I thought it was great . . . I'd never heard of Catherine Fisher before, but thought it was worth waiting for the rest of the series to come out. And I wasn't disappointed - this book weaves our world in with Anara, and the Relicmaster, Raffi & Carys just seem more 'real' each time I read it. For me, the real fun lies in trying to guess what each of the relics are from Fisher's descriptions - although the last book contained more of this. I can't wait to get hold of the last book and find out what happens to Galen, Raffi, Carys and the Sekoi - will we ever find out his name? This is worth reading - I thought Fisher was simply a child's writer, but if I can read and enjoy them, anyone can!

FIVE STAR! A brilliantly exciting and well written work of fantasy. Catherine is a talented writer with a captivating imagination. This and the other novels in the series are well worth reading. Keep up the good work Catherine and maybe one day your fencing will be as good as your writing :p.

This book has it all. It has humor, revelations and suspense. Throughout the book it was merely impossible to put down as the plot is eery and edgy. If you are recommended this book then please, don't hesitate to look into it further as it is one of the best books that I have ever read!
