Interesting, educational, positive use of internet, some gaps 3 Mar 2011
By Assoc For Natural Psych - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
This ia a good book for kids in exposing them to the positive and productive uses of the internet in its various forms. Children, in public school, should be exposed and trained in how to put the internet to productive use, rather than to let it kill their time intellect. In this way, they might be trained not to focus on video games, music videos, or to drift into pornography.

(Some children start drifting that way on the school computers from 3rd grade on, that is, they start to accumulate google images of a strongly sexual flavor. The computer tech coordinators, and classroom teachers are often unaware). This leads to the major shortcoming of the book, while it touches on internet safety, that is about all it does. It never really gives the children anything they can put their finger on or sink their teeth into in the way of internet safety. Any classroom book on this subject should dedicate at least some pages with good information on this subject. This book does not.
