Great gift for grandparents that want to learn internet and e-mail, as to keep up with the times, keep up with information age and thus stay connected to the rest of their family and friends. It's beautiful seeing seniors navigate internet, e-mail and facebook with ease - makes them feel connected and loved - great stuff.

This book: internet & e-mail for seniors is a great way to put the older people of our community online; connecting them through the internet and e-mail to the whole world is a beautiful way of recognizing potential and add their presence to the information pool that is the internet.
Great visual step-by-step explanation of the different programs under Windows 7, it's the perfect blend of old media (books) with new media (internet) to make it a smooth learning experience. I recommend this with whole my heart.

I bought this book for my 81-year-old mother to help remove some of the mystery of PCs. This is not the book. It's basically step-by-step exercises, but doesn't explain how things work. Also, the "internet" explanations are for Internet Explorer only...not be much help for users of other browsers, like my Mom.
