As I live in Australia and therefore when I purchased my international Kindle-2 it did not come with a charger other than the USB cable to charge via my laptop (which works fine).
I searched around for awhile and purchased a charger via Amazon US. This did not work and I discovered that a few Australian Kindle users had a similar problem (must be because we are standing upside-down!). I mentioned this to Amazon and I was amazed by the excellent response. No mention of return and my account credited instantly. Amazon customer service is fantastic.
Anyway I then searched Amazon UK for a charger and chose this one with trepidation.
It arrived very promptly at this end of the world and worked exactly as promised. It is quick on charging and has never missed a beat. Thoroughly recommend this for anyone (especially if traveling to different countries).

After purchasing various other chargers, none of which prerformed satisfactorily, this charger worked perferctly and is robust. A well made product unlike some of its cheaper contenders which are very flimsy.
It's ok but Kindle 2 adapter is better than this one. So I have three charger now, whew. Thanks!
