"Spectacular introduction to the International Space Station, by a talented and prolific science writer...Bravo!""Kirkus Reviews"

Product Description

As tall as a 30-story building, orbiting Earth at 17,500 miles an hour, the International Space Station is a triumph of engineering. Find out what life will be like for the astronauts who will live there in this latest book from the originator of the Let's-Read-and-Find-Out Science series. An introduction by Mercury astronaut Scott Carpenter, a page of activities, and a double-sided poster showing the complete Station make this spectacular, information-packed book a must-have for anyone with an interest in humanity's next great frontier.

Disappointment 4 May 2010
Format:Hardcover
I ordered this publication because it said 'With Poster', and I needed a poster of the Space Station for an Astronomy Group I'm leading. When the booklet arrived, however, the poster was missing. And when I sent a reaction about this, I was told that, unfortunately, no copy with poster was available any more. So I was very disappointed about this order.

Up-to-date addition to this great series of books! 24 Mar 2002
By Heather Idoni - Published on Amazon.com

Calling all NASA fans! We had this book handy the day the International Space Station was in the news... one of over 150 titles in the "Let's Read-and-Find-Out Science" series that we own and use constantly! Begun in the 1960s, this series is just perfect when you want to explore a specific topic. Books about the different phases of the moon, the ways of ants, ladybugs, gravity, your skeleton.... all kinds of timeless books with timeless information presented in a living way! But what about the books about rockets and sattelites? Boy, are they outdated! That is why I was so delighted with this great new title. Generous oversized format with LOTS of detail.
helpful for grown-ups too. 3 July 2011

I, already grown-up, have learned a lot about ISS through this book.
Maybe we don't have informative book for young persons like this in Japan. All the students who I showed it to were interested in it very much.
Full of easy to digest information 12 Jan 2011

My 4 year old loves anything to do with space. We have several of the books in this series and are happy with them all. This book covers many aspects of the International Space station from the beginning to some future goals. It talks about the parts of the station and some of the activities that the astronauts complete. I would recommend this book for any child who is interested in space exploration.
