The subject matter of this book was certainly missing from the international criminal law literature ... this book complements all others dealing with criminal procedure as such because it provides a brilliant insight into the workings of the office of an international prosecutor who must undertake the functions of a manager, a boss, a politician and diplomat and those of a practising lawyer under pressure to perform and deliver. This is an admirable effort and should be read by all those interested in substantive and procedural aspects of international criminal law. (Ilias Bantekas, International Criminal Law Review 13
