Product Description

Review

"Richard Mead′s International Management reminds us that in the 21st century our ability to manage and lead is predicated on an awareness of the impact of cultural dynamics on institutions. He drives home the point that effective and appropriate management makes a difference to the well–being of all humankind. Mead′s presentation of concepts and practical insights are excellent and take readers beyond a superficial understanding." Allan Bird, University of Missouri–St Louis --This text refers to an out of print or unavailable edition of this title.

Product Description

This new edition of International Management secures the position of this successful text as the most comprehensive introduction to global cross–cultural management available. For the Fourth Edition, the text has been extensively revised and updated, with the addition of more student exercises, assignments, exam questions, and new material on the Middle East. As in previous editions of this popular text, students will find an invaluable guide to key management theories, linked to practical examples from the US, Europe, Asia, and, in this edition, from other regions.

Format:Paperback
An easy to follow, reader friendly text into cross cultural management. Layout clear and concise and information accurate and well laid out. An absolute must for an all round book on international management. It even expains Hofstede in a simplistic fashion. Good value.

The quality and accuracy of order fulfillment as well as the book delivery was excellent.
The book is crucial for high-profile managers dealing with staff of different cultures in various countries.

With all the proliferation of cheap discussions of culture as being the driver or killer of business success that's been going around in the past few years, or the other cheap argument of universalisation of culture through globalisation, Profs. Mead and Andrews provide a refreshingly thorough, detailed and balanced analysis of the relationship between culture and business performance and behaviour. A concise yet detailed and well structured investigation into cultural influences on business practices and what they mean for the manager of international organisations. I specially enjoyed the critical and unassuming view of the relationship between globalisation and culture, which was refreshing and illustrative. All in all, a great book.
