My book outlines the causes of the Spanish Civil war and goes on to talk about the early militias which several 'Internationals' joined. Some of these formed the basis for the later International Brigades organised by the Comintern. All International Brigades and composite battalions are listed as far as is known together with information on their arms and equipment. This is followed by an outline of all the major battles in which the International Brigades fought. Illustrations include 'uniform',insignia and colours. Many previously unpublished photographs from the International Brigade Archive,London. The book is dedicated to these fighters against fascism. A bibliography guides the reader to other books on the subject.
