Product Description

Not everything in the garden wants to be there.

'Interment' is a disturbing and idiosyncratic work of psychological horror. Part graphic novelette, part story, part poem and partly art.
This is the first of three illustrated prose poems written by RJ Barker and illustrated by Mikko Sovijärvi . It will be followed by 'The Social Diary of a Ghoul' (originally published in 'Champagne Shivers' where it received a nomination for the James B Baker award for literature) and finally 'The Boy Who Listened in at Doors.'

This poem is so beautiful, clever and fabulously illustrated, even if a little sad. It really touched my heart and you should be very proud of this amazing poem !

5.0 out of 5 stars Just buy it 13 Sep 2011
By Paige
Format:Kindle Edition
Seriously. Just buy it, you won't regret it. This little piece will make you feel. I'm not sure what it is you'll feel, but it will be something and you'll find yourself thinking about it later, possibly as you're trying to fall asleep or while you're driving down the road or sitting in your cubicle procrastinating doing actual work. And then you'll have to go back and read it again to find out whether it was just a one-off or if it really was as engaging as you thought it was the first time. And you'll look closer at the illustrations that you maybe skimmed over the first time because there was something disturbing about them. And you'll determine that there is still something disturbing about them, but that doesn't make you want to stare at them any less.

So buy it. It's worth reading and looking at and you'll want to read and look at it again so it's probably best for everyone if you just to own it.

5.0 out of 5 stars An intriguing journey into the grotesque 8 Sep 2011
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
An intriguing journey into the grotesque beautifully illustrated. The Graphic format works extremely well on the kindle and the lettering and spacing adds to the work rather than detracting. The actual piece is both disturbing and lovely, touching on raw emotions and then leaving them for the reader to decifer. A thing of beauty.
