About the Author
Tanis Galik has been crocheting since her grandmother taught her how over 40 years ago. She is also a professional playwright with several productions and awards for her plays, musicals and a mystery movie script. She holds a MFA in writing from Californi State University and currently lives in California.

This is a fascinating technique to use. It produces a lovely fabric. It took me a while to get the hang of one of the stitches, when I went on the website linked to the book discovered that there is a printing error. Apart from that it has lots of designs that I can see myself using for all sorts of projects. The examples of its use are also ones that I might use. Certainly worth persevering with as the results are well worth it.

The the one technique in this book is quite complicated & described very well but it is definitely not for a complete beginner to crochet. The stitch samples would have been better if there had been a different colour choice for each one -too much green & cream isn't very inspiring . This book would have been much better if it had been spiral bound for ease of use & although I have been crocheting for some time & am used to U.S. terminology it would be so much better if there were yarn comparisons between U.S. & U.K. manufacturers as this can be difficult to figure out. (Publishers please note). I am looking forward to making something with this stitch for a gift as I am sure that the recipient would be fascinated by the different patterns on each side & it would be interesting to work. So, if you are bored with your usual crochet & ready to move on then this is something for you. I look forward to a book of garments in this stitch!

Good point: Lovely projects and designs
Bad point: The interlocking basic techniques are not that easy to understand or follow even for experienced crocheters but once mastered a book to be recommended.
