About the Author

Dr Paul Rodgers is Reader in Design at the School of Creative Industries, Napier University. He is the author of more than 100 book, journal and conference papers including the book Inspiring Designers published by Black Dog Publishers, London and editor in chief of the book Crossing Design Boundaries published by Taylor and Francis, London. He is a member of the Editorial Board of the journal Design Studies. Additionally, he is a founding member of the design collective Glass Box who have exhibited at several events in the UK including Designers Block 2005 and 2006. Dr Michael Smyth is a Reader in the School of Computing, Napier University, Edinburgh. He has worked in the fields of Human Computer Interaction and Interaction Design since 1987 and during that period has published over 50 academic papers in refereed journals, books and conferences. In addition he has had interactive installations exhibited at both UK and international conferences and arts and design festivals.
