I have a small (5 cu ft) chest freezer that was nearly impossible to find anything in without taking everything out first. These Linus bins are a great size, 6 fit perfectly in the bottom of the freezer to organize my frozen foods together by type, so everything isn't all jumbled up. They also let me make a map of the freezer so DH and friends know exactly where to look for something without having to dig around with the door open for long.
I love that sides are nearly straight so you don't lose a huge amount of space due to tapering, but can still partially nest them for storage. They don't stack perfectly since they are mildly tapered, but I just turn the second layer sideways (2 fit on top of 2). And the plastic is sturdy enough that I don't worry about the bin cracking or collapsing if I put something heavy on top of them.
The integral handles make it easy to lift out and carry the bins, and the super-clear plastic makes labels easy to read so you know exactly what's in the bin without having to dig through it. To make it easier to identify contents from the top (a major issue with chest freezers), I wrapped colored tape around the handles so I know which are chicken (yellow), beef (red), pork (pink), fish (blue), butter & cheese (white), and veg (green) at a glance.
If you buy in bulk and repackage into smaller sizes, it helps to put the packages into the bins before they freeze up or else it's difficult to get everything to fit neatly and get them in and out later.
I'm sure I'll find other uses in my pantry for this size and the others that are available. Will definitely buy more, they might be a little spendy but they are totally worth it in the long run!
