For the price paid, you can't really go wrong with this. It's easy to use and does what it says on the tin- it plays music. The quality of the earphones is fairly good cnsidering you don't pay any extra for them. Certainly a worthy spare set if you have some you are already comfortable with. It's the perfect Mp3 player if you don't want to be paying for frills. The only negative is the consumption of AAA batteries. The battery life is good, but unlike most new Mp3 players, it does not recharge its own battery by plugging into your PC. It's probably worth investing in some good rechargeables or buying lithium. Overall a good buy though.

On the plus side the sound quality is good, the menu is easy to navigate and it's a nice compact size. That's why it gets 2 stars and not 1.
The disadvantage being that it has absolutely zero tolerance for impact, the slightest knock (even just from being put back into my pocket)and it switches itself off. As this was purchased for use while I'm working out in the gym, it's a massive and extremely frustrating disadvantage, I would not recommend this product to anyone who intends to use it about their person.

I needed a small light mp3 player to listen to podcasts without having to pay for all the whistles and bells - the most important feature for me is that it resumes playing at the point I left off listening last. Haven't used the headphones included since I already had my own but do listen to it through my stereo and for spoken podcasts the sound is more than acceptable.

very fiddly to operate
