Game Theory for the Masses 15 Oct 2011
By The Leper - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Phil breaks down complicated game theory plays into parts that laymen can understand. His book is broken down into two parts. The first part goes over strategy and looks at each option from a lot of different perspectives including sometimes how a poker program is designed to play as close to perfect poker at all times. The second portion goes over topics that can help you hold on to the money you are making from poker. Phil even goes over some personal reflections that let you learn from his experience.

Playing poker from a mathematical perspective, especially limit hold em, can be all the edge you need at the table to consistently win. Phil puts that perspective in plain English and makes it accessible to all of us.

Oustanding 2 Dec 2011
By Stephen Willis - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Newall's book is without a doubt one of the best book's I have read on poker. I was at the book store making a purchase for school and decided to visit the poker section to see what they had available. I had already purchased 15+ books on poker and did not expect to buy another when I saw this one. I skimmed through it and knew that I had to have it. I have read many books on poker including Tri Nguyen's "Let There Be Range". This book indeed does as it claim's; breaks down the growing mathematical concepts and presents "a cohesive and sophisticated method of play in plain English." Philip Newall is without a doubt a genius. It is tempting to give this book a 1 star review because I don't want my opponents reading this.
Kindle Version badly done 31 Mar 2012
By Jani Talikka - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
The Kindle version was so badly done that I had to return it. The hand-charts are like badly photocopied pages scanned in and converted to mobi, so you can't tell which cells are bold or shaded. Really shoddy conversion. I can't recommend anyone buys the kindle version. If this problem was fixed I'd be able to review the content.
