Product Description

About Intelex Ltd
Innovation: As the creators of Hot-Pak in 1995 and the inventors of fully microwavable soft toys in 1997, Intelex's experience in this highly specialised area of production is second to none.
Quality: All of Intelex's soft toys are made in China using only the finest quality microsafe materials. They only use the finest quality treated wheat grains, fragranced with the very best dried French lavender

The Products
As this product is fully microwavable, to heat simply place the product in a microwave oven for two minutes to release the wonderfully relaxing lavender aroma.

Benefits
Intelex prides itself on the fully microwavable aspect of their products. As they manufacture products that are fully microwavable and do NOT require a removable inner wheat bag, it makes using Intelex products not only easier, but also safer too and reduces the risk of scalding. Ideal for use as a bed warmer to aid a restful night's sleep, or simply as an adorable soft toy. These versatile products can also be used as a cold pack; simply place in a sealed freezer bag and place in the freezer for two to three hours. Ideal for reducing temperatures, easing sprains and bruises and reducing swelling.

Safety Warning

This product can cause burns. Avoid prolonged direct contact with the skin. Take care when removing from the microwave oven. Do not ingest contents. Do not overheat. For microwave use only.

A microwaveable snuggly bunny toy with a relaxing lavender fragrance. Following a few minutes in the microwave, Hopper will stay warm for about 2-3 hours. He doesn't become too hot so is suitable for adults and safe for children.

During the first few heatings, Hopper feels a little damp and his wheat filling produces an odour but this begins to fade after a few uses.

Hopper can also be wrapped in a freezer bag and frozen for 2-3 hours to use as a cool pack to ease sprains, bruises or reduce temperature - a very versatile and therapeutic toy!

Even with the central heating on during the winter I find I get very cold in the evenings and I often need something else just to feel warm. I've been wary of hot water bottles after an accident with one and so I was really keen to try out this microwavable warmer.

This is very easy to use, pop it in the microwave on full power for two minutes and then cuddle up to it - that is if you can resist stroking it!

The main body of the bunny is filled with millet which has been infused with lavender. The lavender smell is fairly strong to start with but not overpowering. It does diminish over time and after many uses. I assume that it is there partially as a way of making you feel relaxed but it also helps to cover the smell from the millet. When you heat the warmer up for the first few times the millet does smell quite strongly but it isn't unpleasant. Also, the millet gives off quite a bit of moisture and although the warmer itself doesn't feel damp there is a feeling of residual moisture when you use it. Again, like the smell, this fades and disappears over time.

The warmer is well made, the stitching is secure and the fur used to make the bunny is lovely and soft. The head is full of standard soft toy stuffing and this doesn't get hot when you microwave it.

After taking it out of the microwave it is a little on the hot side for the first ten minutes or so then it cools to a really comfortable temperature. It gradually cools over time but after 1-2 hours it does need heating up again if you are going to use it for any lengthy period of time. If you are using it to go to bed with then it will stay sufficiently hot until you are asleep.

I bought this bunny for my daughter - she was suffering from anxiety tummy aches and this has been a marvellous solution to whenever she's feeling a little anxious.

We put the bunny in the microwave for 1 minute and its then ready; lovely, fragrant and warm to cuddle and substantial and heavy enough for her to feel soothed and reassured. I don't know how we managed so long without it!

We've had this for only a few weeks now and tonight - disaster!
The instructions say only to put it in the microwave for no more than 2 mins - it was put in for 1 min 40 seconds and its melted so has been thrown out.

As long as you follow the instructions on the label permanently attached to the bunny (a very good idea) you should have no problems with over-heating. The lavender smell isn't too overpowering and, from my experience, will probably wear off in time anyway. The fur feels very nice and soft so would be good for a child and it seems very well made, too. (Whether or not a child would like the smell of lavender is debateable - and maybe if it's designed for children it might be better off without that.) I don't think these things should be bought as toys, strictly speaking, anyway. They are more hot water bottle substitutes.

I bought it as a kind of 'joke present' for my partner who uses heated wheat sacks a lot for headaches. But she thought it didn't look much like a rabbit - so I decided to keep it for myself when I have a stiff neck. The only think I would say about that is that it isn't quite long enough to drape round my neck properly - if it was a few inches longer it would be much more useful.
