My DELL XPS M1330 laptop came with a Broadcom wifi card which requires proprietary drivers under Ubuntu and kept dropping the connection. The 4965AGN is supported directly and works a charm.

Bought one of these when I decided to upgrade my Acer One netbook with a bigger harddive and an extra 1GB ram. Simply took out the old card (802.11g), slotted in the new and installed the latest driver (from the Intel website). Booted up and configured the wireless network (have the BT Home Hub 2) and that's it. Works perfectly, no drop outs and a strong signal right down the bottom of the garden.
A worthwhile update for little money.

Intel Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN - Network adapter - PCI Express Mini Card - 802.11b, 802.11a, 802.11g, 802.11n (draft)Easy To install software and get update from Intel, probably best to do this first (get updated software). Slot in new card, screw everything back down, switch on and away you go; Simple!
