Have been running this card now for almost a month and no problems at all.

Performance has been excellent. Simultaneous dual-band wifi @ 450mb/s when using three streams. I'm currently running it on two streams at 300mb/s (using only two antenna) with the Virgin Superhub in 5ghz mode. In that mode performance is easily at 105mb/s throughput for download in the same room or one wall away. 60-70mb/s two rooms/walls away. I expect it'll achieve 120mb/s throughput when my internet package is upgraded at the end of the month.

Of course you'll need a decent multi-stream router and fibre internet service to take best advantage but I'm sure it will help others on lower end services as well.

I noticed some high spikes in latency from the driver when running full tilt (monitored using DPC Latency Checker) but it doesn't affect peformance for streaming video or downloading at over 100mb/s, so not a problem.

2.4ghz performance is good though naturally very variable and not exceptional with lots of interference from other 2.ghz signals.

If you want a high performance wifi card (especially when using 5ghz mode or dual-band) then this is the one for you!

has 3 Ariel ports, but you only need 2 aerials for standard use. (if you only have 2 aerials I would suggest the 6250 or 6235 as you get bluetooth or 4G and the wireless will have the same quality!) if you have three aerials and a tri-band router to make use of them then the speed in this bad boy is wow! can stream 2 1080p videos and a variety of different music to different systems simultaneously!

The item arrived well wrapped in a plastic container, but with no instructions on how to fix it. Saying that different laptops may have different procedures for installing it I don't count that as a negative. The only thing I needed to look up online, was the order to connect the antennas to the card as that is quite important if you want it to work correctly.

I did have to install drivers before everything worked but that was just a matter of downloading them from Intel's website.

Overall a good purchase and a straight forward upgrade if your laptop supports 3 antennae, without adding a new antennae.

Had this for more than 2 years now. Upgraded on my dell laptop. Well worth the price I had paid for back then. Has not had a fault in WiFi drops or anything. The 5ghz is superfast at 12MB/sec downlaod speed Virgin fibre. From upstairs too..
