Although this book is aimed at MS Office 2000, you may apply its methodologies to all versions later than 2000 to link, embed & present all sorts of mediums with any or all of the packages within MS Office.

It is essential if you are presenting, reporting or writing in any of the packages; this also applies to the linking, embedding & presenting with any of the packages in MS Office.

I used it for an assignment, co-ordinating a project team, using all the packages in MS Office 2003 and got a First for the assignment. This involved all the basic packages in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access) & I also used Publisher & Outlook to create, forward, present files that were communicated & shared to the team; on the project.

There were minutes from meetings, agendas, files (created in all the packages) & media linked, embedded in all the MS Office packages. This was to ensure all members on the team had the documents to use for their individual assignments within the project & to deliver to the registry if the assigned person was unavailable; thus ensuring all deadlines were met and information shared to all.

Now you can distribute these documents using SharePoint but to create these documents you still need this book.
