Rocked. My. World.
I'm not sure I can explain this story any other way. This story was labeled as erotica, the cover is very misleading, and so I grabbed it thinking I would have a casual weekend read. You can imagine my surprise when I open it up on my NOOK only to discover that it is over 200 pages of pure, unadulterated intensity, and I needed a bath and to scrub myself off when I was done with it. That is not a bad thing. I loved this book. I worshipped this book. I am even very jealous of this book for all that it is and how clever Talia delivered it.
We enter the world of a woman, no memories, highly agitated and violent. She is quickly moved to a mental institution because she is uncontrollable on any level. Thrust she is, into a world of depraved orderlies, crazy people wanting to kill her, and right into the hands of one hell of a demented doctor that had my hackles raised at times. Renamed and forced into submission of the ultimate kind, thus begins this woman's story of hard core sadomasochism that will have the casual reader feeling ruined for life. I felt ruined. I didn't possibly think there was a book that could pull off not just some of the most intense S&m scenes I have ever read, but weaved into a very complicated plot that had you flipping each page, biting your nails, and begging for more.
This book fulfilled every natural desire I had for an erotica book. Full length, and every ounce of it pushed you forward. Nothing was long winded or over done. The scenes of bondage, dominance, submission had you licking your lips and facing your own hard limits. I can't really say much. If I do I will give away the whole story. But it was extremely well written. Not only was I totally impressed, I wanted to personally write Talia and praise her on a job well done. I don't think I have ever read a book in this length, labeled erotica, with BDSM themes, that had this tricky of a plot, and actually have the author pull it off and leave you still wanting more! Oh, I want more! I want to worship the dirty Doctor that put her through all these trials! He was wicked, sexy, mysterious, and boy he could make a nun submit to some masochistic desires.
This story is very much a recommended read! However, it is not for the average reader. If you don't like dubious consent, humiliation, puppy play, or mental trauma then I would stay away from this book. But, it is also your loss, because this story will blow your damned mind all the way to the last page!
