Book Description

17 May 2012
INSTINCTIVE FITNESS - A re-evolutionary approach to ageless fitness and health based on a 2.5 million year experiment. Author Oliver Selway believes anyone can achieve extraordinary health and fitness by ignoring what the majority of industry 'experts' and mainstream media have to say, and simply listening more closely to their own inbuilt human instincts.Olly began his own personal transformation when he stumbled upon the increasingly popular 'Paleo' diet and exercise principles. But once he's proved these sometimes controversial theories work miracles on him, he is compelled to demonstrate how and why they can work painlessly and brilliantly for anyone!Looking deeper at the whole Paleo message he goes on to draw some much, much wider life-changing conclusions...Challenging long-held misconceptions on how our bodies work best, Olly puts the current health crisis down to widely accepted but fundamentally flawed theories. He places the blame squarely at the feet of self-interested 'big business', narrow-minded 'experts', and misguided government interference. But in pointing the finger at where we go so tragically wrong, he also offers us new hope. Regardless of age, gender or current physical condition - anyone can get into phenomenal shape without stress, without starving themselves, and certainly without wasting further time and money in a gym...By simply better understanding our basic human instincts, we are all free to take action and unleash our fitter, stronger and happier caveman within.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant.. 3 May 2012
By Lee
Format:Paperback
I picked this book up and read it cover to cover in a couple of days - it's great. If you're into the paleo scene it's a must read. If you're not then after reading it you will be! This book packs a punch harder than Bruce Lee.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fitter, Healthier, Lighter thanks to Paleo 10 May 2012
By JamieK
Format:Paperback
I picked up a copy of Instinctive Fitness after a friend recommended it and I have always struggled to keep my weight at an optimum. The book was so clear and well written that within a week of reading it I was enthused and feeling healthier in body and mind. It is one of those lifestyle books that should have been written years ago but thanks for doing it now! I have just signed myself up for a marathon, something I wouldn't have considered 6 months ago and am noticeably dropping excess weight and feel better about my diet and exercise mindset. I would recommend this book to anyone as there is something for everyone in it whether you are an athlete or not, and it is a sustainable and sensible approach to looking after your body for the long term, not just a quick fix.Instinctive Fitness

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book I share with my clients 21 May 2012
By Joherb
Format:Paperback
Many of my clients suffer with sugar cravings, erratic blood sugar levels, and stubborn fat round the middle. Instinctive Fitness explains in an enjoyable way many of the paleo methods from diet to exercise and much more that really help these and many more common health imbalances. I have seen this approach work time and time again with my clients. Now I have a great book I can share that covers it all in one great read. While I have seen and understood the dietary benefits for a few years now it is the exercise that really made this special. How wonderful to encourage us to view exercise as play outdoors in the woods. If you haven't found a local class yet seek one out for some great fun and exercise.
