I have been a firm fan of the Christie novels since the start and have now read everyone.
Whilst I will continue to purchase, I for one, will look to Mr Oldham to look for new tracks of story line.
Nearly every one of the latest books have managed to include some local and English type of policing story, however the constant involvement of international themes, whilst enjoyable, take away the local themes.
I never realised that Blackpool was such a hot bed of international terrorism and will make sure I give it a wide berth from now on.
In short, leave the international terrorism and such themes to Vince Flynn and use more local based stories. After all there are a good few crime families in the Lancashire / Merseyside areas from which to wrap great stories around.
