The adapter is an exact copy of the original Dell part.
It doesn't seem to get as hot as the older version.
On the down-side however, when you boot-up the Inspiron, you will get the following Bios warning message:
"WARNING: 70 Watt AC Adapter detected. System will not be capable of running in full performance mode without a 90 Watt AC Adapter.
Press F1 to continue booting in battery optimized mode"
You should ignore this, because the adapter is a 90 Watt unit. Unfortunately, you cannot get rid of the warning message.
You will have to press F1 every time you boot the computer.
Apparently the problem is caused by the Dell Motherboard Bios and not the adapter.
A Bios update might solve it, but I didn't want to risk it.
