About the Author
My role is to act as a CEOs Global Leadership Coach. I focus on high performance leaders and teams with a focus on CEOs, Partners and Managing Directors. I work in the corporate, financial services and professional services sectors; bringing commercial acumen and leadership advice from my time in PwC Consulting, IBM and as British Army Officer. I was Assistant to the Head of the British Army, Chief of Staff of the Army s largest Brigade and Commanded my Company on 3 operational tours. Drawing on six years as a PLC Managing Director I encourage clients also to lead by example, have courageous conversations and give inspirational feedback. I run my own coaching business. This book encapsulates Jonathan's magnetism and inspiration. It is his life story and what has shaped the leadership values and principles he clearly displays and develops in others. I particularly enjoyed the realness of the narrative, the constructive influence of army experiences applied to the business world and the structure and theory surrounding the compass model. There is some real learning in the book and you are left with a warm, feel-good factor.

In my experience, it is rare to read a book where the author gives so much of themselves with the aim of improving others. This is a warm, heartfelt and compelling read where autobiographical experiences and real life case studies combine to create a "can't put down" read. The practicality and narrative of Inspiring Leadership combine to energise you and propel you to take action and see immediate results - Outstanding!

The hard learned lessons of this book were brought to vivid reality when I was lucky enough to experience Jonathan's leadership coaching for myself. The framework presented in the book also offers a systematic model for reviewing your personal impact as a leader on the world around you and for exploring the assumptions that might be limiting your impact. When combined with Jonathan's insightful coaching, you can discover limiting beliefs about yourself and the world that you did not even suspect existed. Once removed, with Jonathan's guidance and support, first my outlook transformed and then the opportunities for putting the lessons to good use just rushed in.
