4.0 out of 5 stars Inspired: does what it says on the tin, 5 Dec 2005

I bought this for work because a colleague is featured. I thought it would sit on my bookshelf in the office and gather dust. But instead, I kept this book at home.

With great photography, elegant design and a good cross-section of people interviewed on what inspires their creativity, this is a book for anyone who works or enjoys living creatively.

I didn't personally find all the people featured inspiring - but I don't think that's the point. It seems more that inspiration towards all sorts of forms of creativity can be found in the most random places.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspired creation, 11 Nov 2005
I've been waiting for a book like this for a long time. It's a brilliant insight into what actually inspires the world's top creative people. Every turn of the page opens a door to a different creative mind. Beautiful photographs reveal desks, doodles and the detritus of a creative brain at work. I really felt like I was discovering what makes them tick and how they make the lateral leaps that lead to great work. It’s an intriguing read and the Questions & Answers format turns it into an excellent reference tool.
My Christmas presents are sorted this year.
