Five animated adventures featuring Inspector Gadget. In 'Monster Lake', Gadget, Penny and Brain foil an attempt to kidnap famous scientist Professor Funfkin. 'Down on the Farm' sees Gadget at risk from an experimental missile placed near his home by the evil Claw. In 'Gadget at the Circus', Gadget investigates a circus which his boss Quimby believes is being used by Claw as a front for a series of robberies. In 'Amazon', Professor Von Slickstein has been kidnapped by Gang, who wants the Professor to fabricate an army of bionic men. And in 'Health Spa', Quimby has invited Gadget for a few days of holiday. The Inspector takes this opportunity to spend a week in a newly-opened health spa.

Have you ever watched a 80's cartoon and it wasn't quite the same experience as when you were a kid?

Well, when I flipped this DVD in my player, I was amazed at how little I'd grown. I still adore Gadget, and I'm now 25 years old!! I love Inspector Gadget! No, not those stupid movies, which they actually made two of! This is the original 80's cartoon, and this DVD contains some of the "greatest hits" of the Inspector Gadget show.

Here in Norway a Fox Kids release of Inspector Gadget came out.
I was saddened of course that the language was dubbed to Norwegian.
Still it is the same DVD that is here. So when I found this here,
I of course bought this instead.
So now, I'll save the Dubbed version for my kids, and keep this for myself. For Action, I choose Transformers, for drama I choose Robotech, but for humour, bring it on Inspector Gadget, and let me laugh once again:)

This Inspector Gadget video may be old, but can give quite a laugh.
In GADGET'S ROMA, Gadget, Brain & Penny have to travel back in time to Rome to save Gadgettoro (Gadget's ancestor)from Dr Claw's gladiators.
In MAD IN THE MOON, Dr Claw wants his face imprinted into the moon for a birthday present. Gadget, and his associates have to go up to the moon and stop the bombs.
In GADGET MEETS THE CLAW, Gadget meets Dr Claw's old teacher, the G.G.G. The G.G.G's 4 sons have a mission to kill Gadget...
This video will bring smiles to children's faces all around.

Wowsers! 27 Dec 2013

I love that this whole series has finally been released. I watched this show as a child and remembered liking Gadget's gadgets, Penny and her computer book, and Brain. And not liking Corporal Capeman from Season 2. But hey, I can live with it. I also love the theme song and most of the score as well. I'm working my way through the episodes and am surprised by how much I remember. Go Go Gadget! (And Penny and Brain!)

While the original series gets 5 stars, the bonus special Gadget's Last Case: Claw's Revenge gets 0 stars.
After the first 30 minutes I realized this special was not special at all. It has none of the charm of the original cartoon. It had a few redeeming qualities, as the fellow who voiced Gadget did almost as good a job as Don Adams. I didn't even mind the new Gadgetmobile. I didn't like the Chief or Penny. And Penny and Brain hardly got to do anything. The ending didn't feel complete either. And we didn't even get Claw saying "I'll get you next time, Gadget! Next time!"

So, in short, watch all 86 episodes of Inspector Gadget. Skip the special.

Great Fun for Kids! 13 Jan 2000
By W. Hamilton - Published on Amazon.com
This video offers over an hour of great children's entertainment. It is essentially 3 full episodes of the classic 80s series linked by a few minutes of silly, new animation. The linking bits are awfully stupid, but the three shows are fantastic. Inspector Gadget videos were all over the place in the late 80s and early 90s, but recently, they have been scarce. Thankfully, now that Disney owns the rights, we may see more great videos like this one in the future. Lots of fun.

I hate to be the first one to give this set less than 5 stars but... 26 April 2014
By Jason - Published on Amazon.com

Let me start by saying that I am a big fan of Inspector Gadget. I'm a child of the 80's and if you watched and loved it like I did, more than likely, you will not regret buying this set. First of all, it includes all 86 episodes, including the pilot episode where Inspector Gadget had a mustache (yes, a mustache), and Chief Quimby and Penny were voiced by different actors. The plastic cases house the DVDs perfectly and the cardboard sleeve is your general run-of-the-mill, no frills box. The only problem that I really have with the set is that the episodes have not been remastered or cleaned up in any way. In fact, there is a message at the beginning of the first DVD that says that the episodes were made from the master copies and may contain audio and visual flaws. The pilot episode then goes on to prove that with audio cutting out. I have not watched all 86 episodes, but I have noticed others in which the color looks washed out. The audio and visual flaws, probably attributed to the deterioration of the originals, is why I dinged the set one star, but all of the humor and fun are still there and it is great to be able to relive some of my childhood.

Great time for families and the kids, fans will love it too! 5 April 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
The animated series on the video is just 3 or 4 episode, with Gadget explaining stuff in between the segments. The series is no violent,no swearing anf it's better than Disney's lacklister try last summer! This is the original Gadget folks so you dont get to see Dr.Claw! But if you like Penny and Brain(Penny's dog)saving her uncle gadget from the forces of MAD you will love this video! I'm a fan of the series and I love this video! please Disney bring back the whole series to video /DVD for all fans of this classic series from the 1980's and DIC animation! Thanks Disney for at least putting together this video! it grreat for families and kids and it's not like the violent cartoons on Saturdays, weekday afternoons

I grew up watching Inspector Gadget when I was a kid on Nickolodean. It was a great show then and still is.
