The broad range of dwellings covered should provide the necessary assistance towards identifying the age of a dwelling in any part of the United Kingdom.
The series contains all the procedures and tasks involved in the preparation of reports on dwellings whether required by buyers, lenders or sellers. It follows the guidelines laid down by the courts and professional bodies and the likely statutory requirements for the Government's intended Home Condition Reports (HCR). Under the present programme it will be compulsory for Home Information Packs, of which the HCR will be part, to be produced before a dwelling is marketed for sale from 2006. Inspections and Reports on Dwellings: Assessing Age aims to help interested parties in putting this report together.
