Ok, but too much information on parts of the nile we would never see. ie Cairo and lower egypt - as we were only going between Luxor and Aswan. Which is made worse because it is only a pocket guide and therefore limited information. More practical information required.

Exactly what it says on the cover, a pocket guide for tourism on the Nile. As we were taking a weeks river cruise we did not need an extensive guide to the whole of Egypt and nothing bulky - good for helping with the main points and gives pointers to where you can find more if needed. Guide books like this is essential to getting the most out of a short cultural break.

Bought for planning what to see on a 2012 Nile Cruise. Small and easy to carry, perhaps more on Cairo than needed for this trip, but who knows if the situation changes in Northern Egypt .......
