This is a much more informative and useful guide than the Wallpaper guide. Has suggestions for shopping, eating and some walks which incorporate many tourist attractions.

Having never been to Glasgow we decided on a long weekend there. We needed a guide to the city that was not overly detailed but would guide us around the places that would be interesting to first time visitors. We had a wonderful time in Glasgow and the success of our stay was helped by this little book. It is organised into walks around different quarters of the city. We connected some of the walks together using the clear maps and managed to see lots of the centre Glasgow. The photographs are really good and the descriptions are clear and to the point. The size of the book is just right for stuffing into pockets and bags. We loved Glasgow and will be returning to explore further and we will be taking this great little book with us. By the way, if you have never been to Glasgow and like visiting cities, put it on your list of ones to visit - it is fantastic.

The guide was published in 2006 so prices are a little out of date and some of the latest attractions aren't covered. Read more
