The cooker looks nice, but has some major problems.

The knobs are made of plastic and the silver part of it is spray paint, which comes off if you come too near with a pan, or if you use a strong detergent. It can also easily be scratched off. The symbols for how to use the oven and hob are on this silver strip, so when it has worn off, you will not be able to see how to use the hob.

Electrolux say in their paperwork that you are supposed to clean the knobs with hot water only, but recommend that any stainless steel parts are cleaned with Shiny Sinks. Since the stainless steel parts are right there next to the hobs, you would need to use minute precision, and I for sure do not have the time or patience to bother with this.

Secondly - the hot plates are really hot in the middle and not so hot around the sides, so all food gets burned in the middle and undercooked elsewhere. Impossible to make pancakes, omelettes and similar things.

Electrolux's serve people were rude and short with us when asking about the knobs. When we said we wanted to return the cooker, the electrolux representative who called us first was rude, short, overbearing, didn't listen, and had already decided he knew it all.

Electrolux finally agreed to take the cooker back, but only because our local company (that we had bought the cooker from) contacted them.

We had initially checked whether the knobs would be improved as we had seen some reviews that complained about the knobs, and were assured this fault had been fixed.

NOT SO!

Stay clear!
