This is the final book in the trilogy that started with Frasier Island and Finding Marie, and tells the story of Claudia Gillette, sister of Marie and Lisa from the second book.
Claudia is an award-winning journalist who spends her life jet-setting around the globe chasing stories. On a visit to Marie, Pierre and their new baby, she meets Bill White, who is one of the Navy special operations team that Pierre trains. Bill is interested in Claudia, but is diappointed to find she is not a Christian. Claudia is interested in Bill, but is more interested in his mention of a colleague, Heidi, one of the few women in an active special-ops team. Claudia wants an interview, and a chance encounter with George Hudson gives Claudia the opportunity she seeks, although not in quite the way she planned.
The book was a fast-paced enjoyable read. It was also great to catch up with many of the characters from the earlier books, such as George and Rachel Hudson, Bill White, Heidi Taber, Lisa Gillette and Andre Belanger. The only problem was the final words "the end", which signal that this was only ever a trilogy.
