Rob Howells is a writer and researcher who has investigated esoteric and historic mysteries such as Rennes-le-Chateau and the Priory of Sion for the past 20 years. During this time he has built up an extensive knowledge and experience of secret societies, symbolism and esoteric thought. In 2003 he became Lead Researcher on the documentary Bloodline the Movie. In this role he acted as mediator between the producers of the film and the Priory of Sion. Since then he has continued to work with Sion, combing their material with his own research for Inside the Priory of Sion.

There are many conspiracy theories concerning the Priory of Sion and the mysterious region around the village of Rennes-le-Chateau. Without doubt, there have also been hoaxes as well as examples of people being naive. However, the fact remains that there are many genuine mysteries and much still has to be discovered. Rob Howells has produced a book that is both readable and thorough. He gives fair assessments of the work of many previous writers and is cautious in his conclusions. Particularly, he has received considerable information from Nicolas Haywood, a representative of the Priory of Sion, much of which is quoted in the text. The writer takes the readers through 1. The Priory of Sion, 2. The Mysteries. 3. The Bloodline and 4. The Outcome. The book is well referenced and the author shares a great deal of information that he has gathered by observation and from others over the last 20 years. Occasionally, he indicates that he knows more than he can divulge at this stage. Hopefully, we will see some kind of sequel to this book. In the meantime, all I can say is that I have read the book twice. A great read!

This book is incredible and is an amazing achievement from the author. From the first few pages you can tell that this book has been years in the making. Incredible. It does not preach to us that the PoS IS real and one HAS TO believe, but leaves you with a choice to decided for yourself.

Nicolas Haywood's entries are very insightful too and beautifully added. So many questions answered and more besides, Thank you Robert for this fantastic edition to the inside of this most secret society, Le Priori De Sion!

Its a fair review of the Rennes le Chateau story and some more closure on the Holy Blood and the Holy Grail with some useful answers and a few more clues for broadened knowledge and more pointers to future holidays. But do we really have a transparent account of Sion and its activity or just more obfuscation to damp down the story which remains so likely to fracture society - if the Catholic church cannot keep the lid on the underlying story...

Read this while I was staying in Rennes Le Chateau area and it brought to my attention things I had not previously seen. I have read many books on this subject and had considered the Priory to be a hoax, but after reading this book I looked afresh at my view on the Priory and have come to the standpoint that there is something in it.
Robert Howells makes some very interesting points and if any student of the case has not yet read this book then I heartily recommend it.

Interesting in many places, but when I see things like Christian Rosenkreutz was the fabled creator of Rosicrucianism repeated again and again in works such as this, I start to sigh. This kind of of repitition of second hand error is lazy and disheartening, the Fama and Confessio, which allegorically tell the story of Father and Brother C.R.C. never mention the name Christian Rosenkreutz, they only ascribe intials for the founder of the order and his brother Rosicrucians. The name Christian Rosenkreutz comes from the Chymical wedding, a later work unrelated to the Fama fraternitatis and Confessio, attributed to Johann Valentin Andreae. I always think if they get this wrong, what else is wrong!?

Other errors litter the text. A notable example being the Turks conquering Constantinople in 1492, in fact it was 1453. Is this a deliberate error to encode something in the text? :)

Still, despite these criticisms, I enjoyed the book
