This is an interesting take on what Pepys thought about what was happening in his world. It is a useful addition to literature about the 17th century. Any readers interested about Peyps will find it useful, especially the authors comments on the various passages from the diarys.

Have been reading around this subject a lot following my reading of Pepys' diary. Really enjoyed this book, really fleshed out London of the period.
