I have purchased other books on Designer/2000, but I made more progress with the first three chapters of this book than any of the other books. The book guides you through the development cycle of a very simple application, and touches on a lot of tasks that you need in the real world. The Screen CAM is excellent and the entire book is well thought out and organized. This book will help you become productive in a few days.

I found this to be a good read however the reader needs to be able to understand the systems analysis and design concepts also business rules to understand some of the jargon. With this in mind for a new student to systems design may find this book a heavy read. I had an aim to generate from designer straight into developer which I can now do(thanks to the book) Pity Oracle couldn't notify users of designer they NEED to have correct versions of each (Designer and Developer) to accomplish this

It's the worst book I have ever seen. Think about how you could get from the book and not about how many pages it have.

This is the worst book I have ever read about Designer. OK, there is not too much about Designer but you don't have to waste your money with such a fool book.
