(REAL NAME)   
This is a beautifully crafted work and is all the more impressive as it is a first novel, the authors use of the language is rich and engaging. The unusual events of the main characters life are slowly resolved as he is drawn into another dimension and another world after the murder of his wife. This book is allegorical of the clash between the spiritual and the natural world and has many nuances that will resonate with our experiences.
Characters are developed well and the multiple subplots interwoven and brought together in a satisfying climax. Without leaving too many hanging story lines you are left hungry for more - when is the sequel due Mr. Pomeroy?
