Hello to all, any advice from experienced photographers - especially macro photographers - is greatly appreciated.
I am seriously considering the Nikon D3000 Digital SLR (18-55 mm VR lens kit), or the newer, D3100 - at present a £100 difference, without buying any special macro lenses. So...is there MUCH difference between the 10.2 megapixels and the 14 m?
My main use will be photography insects. I want to get as close as possible on this budget!
Also, which macro lenses for insect photography would be best?
The D3000 is great for what you require. The D3100 is obviously packing more mp's and has a video which is nice and I am tempted to update to this myself. However, I get great images from the D3000 and the kit lens helps you to get quite close. You can get macro screw in lenses for this lens. They are far cheaper than the macro lens itself. Check them out. Kenko and opteka do reasonable ones.
