Great product 13 May 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
I bought these both for my own children and the children I look after. The product is so much fun for the children, and allowing them to look at the underneath is excellent. The only downfall I would find with it is that the lid does not screw on so if the child tips it slightly the lid falls off.

FUN INVESTIGATION 2 April 2009
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
An excellent fun toy. My 21 month old daughter just loves the creature peeper and can't wait to get outside to find the bugs to put inside the viewer. The nice thing is that they can be released again without any harm. The peeper comes with a plastic bug inside - just remember Mums if you are anyway nervous of bugs - don't let this plastic one get out of sight. I found it in the dark on my hall stairs and let out a very large scream.

Creature Peeper 27 Nov 2009
Durability:    Educational:    Fun:
This is a great toy and my 4 and 2 year old grandchildren have loved looking at all sorts of bugs out of the garden. The magnifying feature is excellent. My only criticism would be that the top section does not screw on, it just places on which means that it can come apart fairly easily and the bug can then escape. This was especially a problem for the younger child who doesn't always hold thing tightly.

Insect Heaven
Great product and my Grandsons spent hours discovering the insects in my garden.
This was purchased together with the Bug book so the boys could tick off what they found.

Don't buy this bug catcher/holder !
Cheap junk. The peeper holes are more blurry and unfocussed than looking at the tiny insects directly close up. Read more

Not as much fun as expected.
My little boy loves insects and exploring, so thought this would be an excellent present, but he hasn't used it as much as the magnifying glass and binoculars. Read more

Bug box
An introduction to looking for insects. bought for my grandson's fourth birthday. Perhaps a little advanced - but an early introduction to looking at creatures.

Not good for the classroom
These are great for home use but I would not remcommend them for the classroom as the lids do not fix on so you have to hold it tight or the minibeast will escape. Read more

Fun for kids - perhaps!
I endorse the other reviews with regard to the lid falling off.
My other criticism is that (on mine at any rate) there is a fair amount of distortion in the plastic lens,... Read more
