Sizing: I'm generally size 9 boot wearing heavyweight winter socks, but size 8 in Inov-8 Roclite 288 GTX.
½ the weight of my Merrell Cham3 Mid GTX, its like walking on air in comparison. Only my summer sandals weigh less than Roclite!
For my winter MTB, & lightweight backpack hiking, they`re ideal.
But, unlike me, I suspect most hiking purists/heavier backpack carriers may find sole flex, & gossamer material too alien to want to adjust to?
Despite the lightweight flexible sole (which I love), the tread lug depth/pattern is good, with a slightly sticky rubber compound. I don't know how durable yet?
The gossamer construction (which I love), isn't a potential winter insulating problem to me, as it's Gore-Tex lined, & I wear decent heavyweight socks anyway.
Vermicelli laces employed to save maximum weight loss, only time will tell how robust they are?
