I saw Nigel Kennedy perform years ago at a very small concert in Malvern... and I have been hooked to his music ever since. The "Inner Thoughts" CD is not only a collection of beautiful soulful classical music, but it is also soulfully and beautifully played by Kennedy.
The tracks are from some of the quietest movements of some wonderful violin concertos, which not only makes it exquisitely peaceful to listen to on its own, but also excellent for background music too.
Amazon's own track listings aren't very clear, so here they are:
1. Bruch, Adagio from Violin Concerto in G minor Op.26
2. Bach, Adagio from Concerto for violin and oboe in D minor BWV 1060
3. Brahms, Adagio from Violin Concerto in D major Op.77
4. Vivaldi, Larghetto from Violin Concerto in D major Op.3 No.9 RV 230
5. Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Andante from Violin Concerto in E minor Op.64
6. Bach, Adagio from Violin Concerto in E major BWV 1042
7. Elgar, Andante from Violin Concerto in B minor Op.61
8. Bach, Largo ma non tanto from Concerto for two violins in D minor BWV 1043
