Product Description

This high quality transfer paper (also known as Iron On / Fabric Paper) will enable you to print a block of text or an image directly on the paper using your own Inkjet printer to be transferred onto any light fabric such as T-Shirts, Cotton Bags and Even Baby Aprons. The A4 transfer paper is suitable for any Inkjet Printer including Brother, Canon, Dell, Epson, HP, Kodak and Lexmark. Our light Inkjet t shirt transfer paper has a special patent indicator. The back of the transfer paper has an icon of a domestic iron printed in green and brown. The green colour is a thermal sensitive colour that when it has enough heat by having a hot enough iron and ironed for long enough (heat and time) changes to brown so you know the transfer is ready. If some areas of the paper still remain green it means there wasn't enough heat or it wasn't ironed for long enough. The patent green indicator will mean that the transfer won't be as good for washing and the job won't be good enough. While the brown indicator means the job is fully complete for long-lasting results. Each pack contains the number of sheets of your choice and our very own guide to t shirt transfer printing. Be unique and express your creativity with your own wearable art!

These ingenious sheets are so easy to use. Although full instructions are given, here's a quick run through:
Simply create you own design (I did mine in 'Word').
If your printer doesn't allow you to 'mirror' the design, just 'flip' the designs in Word so that they're reversed ready for the transfer paper.
Then print, cut around the design or logo & you're ready to iron.
During ironing, the little iron pictures on the upper side of the backing paper turn from green to brown when they've had enough heat.
Allow the paper to cool down & peel off the backing paper carefully.
Place the silicon paper (supplied) on the new, shiny transfer & iron for 15 seconds.
Peel off silicon paper while still hot.
That's it. Simple & effective T-Shirt printing. And at this price for 20 sheets, you can't go wrong.

My tip of the day...
If you've ironed a transfer on the front of a garment & you're going to put another one on the back, make sure the front transfer is on plain paper while you iron the back one, otherwise it will stick to any cloth you're resting on.

Iron-on transfer 4 Jan 2011
Having used many other transfer prints I have to say that I was disappointed with these & wrecked a couple of shirts before I managed a good one. If the iron is used at its hottest setting (as per instructions)it is very easy to burn the shirt, so don't - select cotton for a cotton shirt. Do not cut around the tranfer because the pattern will bleed around the edges. The transfer backing paper is picked up by the iron & the iron requires cleaning after every operation. Do not use "good quality paper" to remove the gloss/shine from the image as recommended, the paper will adhere to the image & is well nigh impossible to remove.

Brilliant 30 Mar 2011

These worked better than I expected and gave bright vivid images on plain white cotton shirts (~£1 each from Tesco). I was expecting to trash a number of shirts, but if you stop when the back turns brown then it should be fine.

I used a 1200W iron, which they suggest is the minimum heat, but it worked fine on full power. We ironed it on a towel on the floor.

We cut the A4 into 3 smaller pieces and ironed them on individually - the first image was the smallest and the back went brown (showing it was ready) very quickly, but because the instructions said to iron for 3 mins I kept going - this was a mistake - smaller images take a lot less time to iron on and I ended up burning the image slightly - so it has a slight brown tint, but it still looks fine.

The second image went on fine and I stopped ironing as soon as the back had gone brown - the colours are very bright and vivid and the effect is great. As soon as I stopped ironing I peeled the paper off.

I recommend cutting round the image as close to the image as possible while still leaving a border of at least 3mm

We've not yet washed the shirt.
