I bought this game because i had already played the non-travel version and really liked it, and thgis is a really cool version of the big board game.
It has everything you'd ecpect from a travel game as in, the pieces sit tighly in the holes, and don't fall out and roll around, the board is compact and really sturdy, and i reckon it's all waterproof as well, as everything is made of plastic.
This is just a really cool game too though! you score points by putting you pices on the board to make rows of matching colours, and once you've scored enough points, you have to shout INGENIOUS! so we had great fun with it on the plane when we went on holiday, although we tried to keep the shouting to a minimal. I would recommend this game to anyone, and the proper version is definately worth a look as well.

We play this loads, you don't get tired of it, it is small enough to put in your holdall when going away and not too small for playing at home.

Firstly, Ingenious is a great game. My son has ADHD & has never got on well with board games, but he loves this game & actually asks to play it.
My gripe is that both the image on Amazon & the image on the box lid, are of a much sturdier looking game, made of thicker plastic, with bigger pegs, stronger peg holes, painted numbers against the peg holes & embossed shapes on the playing tiles. None of these features are present on the game inside the box, so I do feel slightly cheated.
Update 18/03/10 - Box cover / Amazon image now changed so that they no longer show an image of the actual game. However, I suspect that you will still find the more flimsy variant of the game within the box.

Kids love this game, spent ages at it the first night, then got the hang of it, something different and you don't seem to find it in the shops. My childrens friends loved it too.

Great game, never bored!
It's a great game, everyone can play as the rules are really easy. It's always different, you can elaborate different strategies every time. Great fun, highly recommended!

Ingenious
This is a really enjoyable game. Some of the pieces are small so have to be careful if taking it on holiday. My daughter really enjoys this game.
