5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant book on organisational informatics!, 10 Jan 2007
By K. Maroukian (Reading, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I read this book as part of my Informatics Masters degree. I think it is the best around on informatics simply because it explains thoroughly organisational behaviour and relationships from an IT point of view.

Paul Beynon-Davies describes the use, modelling, architecture and impact of Information Systems (IS), the development process of IS, organisational culture and strategy, the informatics infrastructure, e-Business including all its constituents e.g. B2C, B2B, etc. and finally a good account on Knowledge Management is provided.

The book is very well organised, with clear and concise diagrams explaining all the theory behind the above mentioned areas.

I highly recommend it to undergraduate/postgraduate students in IT related courses, academics in IT/Management/Economics departments and IT professionals.

3.0 out of 5 stars Useful computer science textbook, 29 Mar 2009
By Ms. AS Radcliffe "avid reader" (Canterbury, Kent, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is a good book on information systems as it has in depth coverage of the topic that is relevant to today. Information systems are vitally important to how the world works today so this topic should not taken lightly but it can be taught in uninteresting ways.
