In the past I dreaded the thought of a job interview. I brought the influencing the interview book to give me some tips for job interview success, and I was pleasantly surprised to read the section on interview confidence. The book read as if it was written for me, I used the confidence building techniques over and over again and at my last interview I felt really confident which surprised me. Thank you Christopher Delaney I have now secured a fantastic job.

The 73 Rules of Influencing the Interview using Psychology, NLP and Hypnotic Persuasion Techniques book review. A highly insightful read. Some people may find the techniques manipulative, but what is a job interview if you're not trying to manipulate the interviewer? The book uncovers some insightful techniques on sales psychology taken from the experts themselves the supermarkets and delves into understanding the interviewer perspective of the interview which I believe for most interviewees is never considered, what is interesting is the book stays away from general interview advice such as preparing for the interview and concentrates on the application of NLP and Psychology in the job interview itself.
As a fan of the human mind and persuasion I enjoyed how the book used the techniques throughout the chapters to embed the learning, which led to me rereading the book and seeing for the second time how the actual hypnotic language patterns were recorded all the way through the book.
The downside to this book is the lack of reference to which technique is from NLP or Psychology, but that is a small minus when the book is such a good read. I will give this book 5/5 and will recommend this book on my blog.

What a fantastic book full of so much information and techniques and such an easy read. I would highly recommend this book to any job hunter. I really like all the stories that he used to explain different points. 10 out of 10!!!!
