Product Description
Infiniti's 25GB (Printable) Recordable (4x) BD-R discs Blu-ray discs are the next evolution in the disc media market and allow up to 5 times the data of a single layer DVD to be stored on a single recording layer. They are also much more resilient, due to an enhanced polycarbonate protective layer, than current disc media such as CD and DVD and with the new inorganic based dye, archival life is greatly increased making them a much more reliable data backup medium than CD or DVD. As always, Infiniti only manufacture media to the highest standard and they are worldwide renowned for their high quality media.

I purchased these discs to use in a newly installed LG BH10LS30 internal drive, there is actually a link on the Amazon product page for the drive to these discs. Unfortuantely in my experience these discs do not work with this drive I now have nine (!) coasters and one succesfully burned disc and less hair where I ended up tearing it out! I bought the disc and drive to backup a large photo collection. I have now purchased some more expensive Verbatim discs and they work fine, so it does appear to be a compatibility issue with these Infiniti discs.
I searched for a newer firmware for the drive but there doesn't appear to be one.

After buying a "low cost" set of blank Blu-ray discs from another supplier, I was worried that the Infiniti media would give me another set of coasters, but each one has worked well so far. Don't know wether they are long lasting as claimed but so far so good.
