Product Description

Product Description

Infiniti Lightscribe CD-R are compact discs designed to be recordable on any compatible CD writing device. They are also compatible with the vast range of LightScribe direct disc labelling hardware currently available to consumers

These discs allow LightScribe enabled hardware to 'burn' labels directly onto discs in a similar fashion to 'burning' data;Using the 'Burn, Flip, Burn' mantra, users can burn data onto the disc through standard procedures and then flip the disc over onto the light brown labelling side and use LightScribe enabled labelling software to write the label directly to the disc

A special coating is used on the upper surface of the discs that allow a Lightscribe enabled disc burner to 'burn' a design onto it. Focused light energy from the laser inside a Lightscribe drive causes a chemical reaction on the thin, dye coated surface on the disc. Because there is no printing involved there is no risk of ink smudging or labels peeling off. All Lightscribe designs are etched using the laser already inside your disc drive.

(Since this is the second version, v2 applies, but v1.2 is used on the official logo.)

Product Description

Infiniti LightScribe media will not peel or smudge like printed CD labels. Fade is unheard of, as images are etched by a laser, whereas printed CD labels can deteriorate and fade over time. The process requires no other consumable, no ink and no printing. Just burn your data, flip it over, and burn your image into the other side of the disc with the same writer. It really is that simple. The results are totally water resistant and permanent. This 52x 80Min pack comes in a classic gold finish.

I normally buy Verbatim disks as so far I have never had a bad one, but I needed something cheap for a project and I bought these. I have used a fair few of these disks now and I am delighted with the results. The picture quality when Lightscribed is very good, well on a par with other more expensive disks. I will be buying more of these and cutting down on the inflated prices of better known manufacturers.

Having recently purchased a new pc I was intrigued to discover it included something called LightScribe, a process for putting pictures and other information on the face of the disk. The Infiniti disks were well priced and downloading the templates was a doddle. The process took about 15 mins and worked well - much better than using a felt tip pen (unless you have beautiful handwriting!) Recommended.

Lightscribe Disks
I have only used two of the disks so far, they both recorded well and done a good job on the labeling. If the rest of them work as well I'll be extremley pleased.
