Seeing as this is likely to be the last Voivod album,it would have been easy to stick anything out with loads of filler and the like but it's actually very good,factor in that Denis's (R.I.P) guitar parts were recorded in his house on a laptop and it could have been a mess,the production,though, is actually better than most 'proper' albums and his guitar parts fit seemlessly,a fitting swansong.

One of the most innovative, influential and important metal bands of all time bid us a final farewell after the sad death of guitarist Piggy. I hadn`t expected this to be so good to be honest...the previous album was recorded after his passing from riffs and guitar parts left on his lap top...that there was so much high quality to make this ( presumably ) final album is remarkable.
Whilst continuing in the vein of the previous couple ( since the reformation with original vocalist Snake ) this also has many more nods to older Voivod, particularly Dimension Hatross era. It`s probably the best album since 1993`s The Outer Limits in truth, a pleasing blend of both their more progressive edge and their punky metal beginnings. It`s of course terribly sad that this is the last we`ll hear of Piggy`s genius guitar work but it`s more than a fitting finale...indeed it`s one of the best metal albums released this year.

I've been a an of this band since Nothingface days,(I was too young for the eary stuff).No doubting that it and it's successors are cool (Not so much Phobos or Megatron,sorry but it's my opinion)this album had alot to live up to.The sad departing of Piggy is a loss,but thanks to his manic work rate even whilst terribly ill,the material recorded on his P.C was fleshed out into this record.The resulting album doesn't disappoint.Driven by Piggy's riffs and Jasonics bass,the sound is heavy and driven.I have my favourites on here,but discover you're own.You'll not be let down by this fine example of modern rock music.R.I.P Piggy,you'll be missed.
